Founder
Oonagh's passion for hair styling started at the age of 14 working weekends at her home town salon in Cashel, Ireland.
After high school, she pursued her passion by attending an intensive hair and salon management degree in Europe. Upon finishing her degree, she spent five years working with Peter Lawrence salons in Ireland.
When an opportunity arose for Oonagh to come to New York to work for an already established salon, she jumped at it. After 11 amazing years, she decided it was time to realize her dream and open her own salon.
She opened Rua Hair Salon, in Tuckahoe, NY...a place she calls her home. She lives in Westchester with her husband and two children; Mia and Patrick.
Oonagh's philosophy for running her own salon is that you can never have too much education, and every day is a learning experience. Her main goal is to make everyone who walks through the door feel amazing about themselves when they walk out.
